Figuring out what I wanted to do with my life and how I incorporate my passion with what God wanted for me was the very question that led me into ministry. Growing up in the church, I was very involved in children's ministry all the way through senior year of high school. I desired to go every week and learn the very skills, I needed to take care of children who may have been different than others. Seeing the different children pastors and there joy I wanted to become one myself.

As God called me into being children's pastor, I had many confirmations from God himself and the many people I worked with. God showed me through prayer an ocean of children where they were slowly coming towards me with their arms open wide. From here I realized if these children I saw in my prayers don't hear the gospel then they are going to eternally perish. With the deep longing of not wanting any child to perish, I set aside my frustrations and asked Christ for patience, love, and ears to hear these children's cry for the gospel.

There was also many moments where parents would come up to me and say thank you for taking care of my child so well. From where children were unable to express their emotions to being a vibrant child who speaks from their small heart. There was nothing I have done but to listen to their stories and their personal issues. I thought listening to these children were important because many times, they get shut down from adults because they believe that they are unable to have faith or it is unimportant. I believe even if they are talking about ice cream, there is a reason behind it and even be an impact to my life.

I also choose to stick with ministry because when I saw each child and their deep questions with such expressions I could not decline working in children's ministry. They may be young, but some of the children's questions and answers made me think back to God and even reflect back on their questions. These questions have challenged me spiritually, but also gave me joy that they are learning and asking the why questions, meaning their showing interest in having a personal relationship with Christ.

My calling has allowed me to go on mission trips and to view children around the world. If God allows I would love to work in church setting here in America, but also to many parts of the world. Through different mission trips I was able to lead worship and give bible stories to children even if it may have not been the exact same feel in the mission field, but there has been great stories and joy that came from telling of whom Christ is when they have never heard before.

There may be days where it was harder than others, but through God and their smiles I choose to work with children to help them grow relationship with God and with the people around them.
