My top 5 values in ministry and for myself as I learn more and more into becoming better minister for children. I choose these 5 values because they have become of who I want to be and for those who see me or know me.
Responsibility
Responsibility is an important value because being able to take a task or project, one is to complete it . Then to make sure from beginning to the end that it is done the way it is needed. If one sees of my house or of my personal belongings it shows that I am responsible and clean in the way I take care of myself when it gets busy from day to day. Constantly growing up there is the need to be responsible because as an older sister and being in many leadership positions there was the need to make sure everything was well done. Lastly, responsibility became very big to me because working with children, the parents are putting their child to your hands and when one is not responsible and immature parent fear in putting their children in ones hands.
Consistency
Since growing up I have been very consistent and many around me have told me the faithfulness when I say yes to a certain job I come at certain time every week and to come out everyday unless of an emergency. Consistency is a also a big thing because of my passion in getting to know people it takes time and effort and when one is not there it is not possible to do so. Also the consistency in all my work is at a high level making sure that if its for other people that it is not done effortless but to put my strength in getting things done right and on time.
Service
To have a servants heart and to take every opportunity as an opportunity to take the extra mile to serve another sister or brother in Christ. My passion and wanting is to serve others without getting the attention and to understand my service is important. Then to learn that I need God more to do service even it may not be the very thing I wanted to do. Service is also part of my spiritual gift in wanting to take care of people more than just getting to know them. To be able to serve them through even the simplest prayers when their in my mind or even simplest text message to cheer them on when their week is difficult.
Endurance
The endurance I have built started when I used to run in track and field and cross country. The sports may be physical endurance, but through physical endurance it also has allowed me to stretch me mentally and spiritually. Even if there may be harder times in my life I have endured with God and the fear to loose God was my main endurance to pursuit after Gods love more each day. Endurance is huge for me because without endurance one may get tired easily and show signs of slowly giving up comparing to those who have endurance and is able to continue even if it gets difficult.
Vulnerability
Being small group leader since at a young age, I have learned to trust people early on and to share my life. Being more open it has given me more opportunities to hear other peoples testimonies and stories. My vulnerability also has allowed for many people in charge of me to know who I am for real and not just in what I do. Another positivity of it was to be able get prayer with specific and not just in general. It helps a lot when it is more difficult.
